Update from Uganda!
Greetings from the Pearl of Africa. Cheri and I want to send our prayers for each one of you and to say Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. We have seen God working in many ways. The lower part of the Orphanage building is now finished. We have been able to use it for our weeklong institute both to house the pastors and trainees in the dorm and to feed them in the dining room. The ladies also held their Christmas party there too. Now we begin on the upper structure which will go much faster as the floor is already done. We are looking forward to seeing it filled with children. Pray hard!
In our weeklong institute we taught the men “How to study the Bible”. We had 41 in the class. Our men are really getting excited as they are learning how to draw out the truths from the Word of God.
I had the privilege of performing the wedding for one of our trainees on Saturday who will soon become the pastor in a village 8 miles from Mbarara. Because of the testimony of our people who minister in the village and the change in the life of this man, at the end of the reception, his aunt paid the entire amount of the remaining bride price. We have never seen this done here! God is great!
Sunday morning Alisha directed the children’s Christmas play which set the stage for the main service where we had 6 adults saved and another profession of faith. God was really speaking to hearts. Pray for these new converts.

I enjoy reading about our missionaries and know how to better pray for them as a result. Thank you for serving in Uganda!
