Life In Thailand

We are so thankful for each one of you. Your encouragement and prayers make the difference here in Thailand. We are so blessed to have you holding the ropes for us. Thank you!

The Phuket Ministry

Earlier this month, we handed the batton off to a fellow missionary to continue the Bible studies in Phuket. Due to the cost of travel to and from Phuket, coupled with the increasing ministry needs here in Bangkok, it has been very difficult for us to spend the time needed with the Burmese Bible Studies in Phuket. It is a blessing that our missionary friend will meet with these Burmese Christians for the Sunday afternoon Bible studies and continue to teach them the Word of God.

David

David continues to study the Bible. Through David, we’ve been able to make contacts with many other Nepalese that are living in Bangkok. Around thirty Nepalese have expressed interest in starting a Nepalese Baptist Church. A meeting place was found and church services will begin October 4th.

Faith Ann

Our third-born child, Faith Ann was born on Sunday, August 30th at 10:14 am. She weighed in a 6 pounds and 14 ounces and measured about 20 inches long. Jonathan and Grace were very excited to be one of the first to hold their new baby sister. They have really welcomed their little sister into our family. Throughout the day, they take turns holding her.

The Hmong Camp

The end of this month is the projected date for the Thai Military to shut down the camp and repatriate the remainder of the Hmong to Laos. Therefore, tomorrow we will be closing down the Hmong school at the Hmong refugee camp. Sunday may be the last church service at its current building. We pray that the church members will continue to meet for one on one or small group Bible studies in the camp, since they cannot meet in big groups in the camp.
Once they are repatriated, we pray that they will be faithful in reaching out to others. As for those who have already returned to Laos, doors have been opened for some of them and they have been able to minister to others.

Jonathan and Grace

Jonathan celebrated his 6th birthday with a trip to a zoo park. While there, he got to sit on the back of a baby elephant. Also, he and Grace fed the birds and giraffes. Helping Dad is something every boy enjoys and Jonathan is no different. After boxes of literature were moved, Gracie got to enjoy being hauled around on the two wheeled cart.
At home, Jonathan and Grace spend a lot of time together. Grace likes it that her big brother Jonathan, reads books to her. They spend most of their day playing together.

Pray for us. May God bless you!
